Well, ISBL last week in London was great fun. It was brilliant to catch up with all our main monograph series editors - Mark Goodacre, Andrew Mein and Claudia Camp, and Lester Grabbe... as well as countless authors and other publishers. To be able to do it all within 400 yards of our offices was an added bonus, although it did mean we spent a lot of time running between the book exhibit and the office trying to get things done, looking things up, collecting extra catalogues, or books we hadn't taken but which people had specifically requested.
All in all it was a very useful conference, good for sales, and good publicity I hope. I also hope that everyone who went saw the conference porters in T&T Clark t-shirts (part of me really wants to use the word 'livery' here).
So congrats to KCL and to SBL on a great conference on London's trendy South Bank.
