Karl Barth's 125th Birthday

Today is Karl Barth's 125th birthday. German Radio (Deutschlandfunk) commemorated the event with a short programme today, which you can find here:

I liked the quote from Zuckmayer about Barth's pipe:

"Gott sei gedankt, dass er Ihnen in Ihrem hohen Alter noch die 'Freudigkeit' zur kämpferischen Frage und zur Lebensliebe verliehen hat. Möge Ihnen die glühende Pfeife noch lange nicht ausgehen!"
