We've been planning our great excursion west for some time now and this week we are packing up and traveling trans-Atlantic and transcontinental to San Diego! It's gotten past sweater weather in New York City, so we're more than happy to soak up the sun in Southern California. We've decided it best to leave our surfboards at home and maximize our luggage space for books. But we've promised ourselves that we're not leaving without a tan!
Our first stop will be at the Evangelical Theological Society Annual Meeting held at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center from the 14th to the 16th. We'll be at Booth #502, so be sure to look for our banner. We'll have plenty of books for sale and a number of flyers and other T&T Clark goodies, too. Our new Biblical Studies Acquisitions Editor, Burke Gerstenschläger, will be at the booth if you'd like to drop by and say hello.
Then, it's off to the last joint Society of Biblical Literature/American Academy of Religion conference at the San Diego Convention Center from November 17-20. Our booth is #1100 and we'll be located across from the Find-A-Friend station. Our entire T&T Clark team will be there as will a ton of our books, with not a few brand new releases! (Mmmm... New releases...) We will have plenty of books for purchase, as well as flyers about our books and various series (including our Library of Biblical Studies Series and Reading Romans through History and Culture) and a lot of cool swag. And who doesn't love conference swag? If you're so inclined, you can sign up at the booth to speak with one of our four editors. And who doesn't love editors? That's what we thought.
It certainly will be a jam-packed seven days of conferencing and we're very excited to be there. If we can actually find some time, we'll try to blog from San Diego. Afterwards, certainly, we'll give you the whole wrap up and will hopefully have some photographic evidence of what took place. Just let our Americans recover over their Thanksgiving holiday, first.
We can't wait to see you! And when you drop by to check us out and say hello, be sure to tell us that you read our blog!
"Photographic evidence"? Burke, are you going mad? First thing I'll do when arriving at San Diego will be confiscating your camera...

Take an extra camera. It's great fun to post random pictures of surprised looking scholars caught with their hand in the book exhibition. I've got one of Mike Bird I'm saving for a special occasion. And he knows what I mean...
